Oh, and it’s worth a fortune to anyone that understands the huge gap in the UK market that exists right now.

Once we stepped  beyond the inevitable ‘Quickie’ jokes, for the next 20 minutes David dazzled me with industry figures, income potential and an exciting franchise plan to roll out 10,000 of these Quickie machines across the UK!

The possibilities knocked me sideways!

Without a doubt I was convinced, and our next franchise project was born.

  • A recent YouGov survey found that 61% of under 30-year olds have run out of battery power on their mobiles while out and about within the last month.

Of course, you already know the market is huge. Mobile phones are lifestyle ‘must have’ items, almost everyone has one. In fact, did you know that the number of mobile phones in the UK outnumber the actual population?

  • As the use of mobile phones increases, and they are used more and more for texts, games, photos, emails, recording video, even surfing the web, battery use will increase and the need for a service like Quickie will grow right along with it.

Also, business people need to be in touch;

  • At airports for example, how many will charge up their phone before jumping on a flight, just to be sure they are connected at the other side while their charger is in their suitcase?
  • Train stations. People love to use their mobile on long journeys. They could be standing on the platform, with time to spare before their train leaves, and decide to top up, just to be sure they have enough battery life for the journey…after all it’s only £1
  • Then there are cafes. People are sitting there having a coffee, chatting to friends and if they feel their battery is on its way out, they can charge it up while sipping a cappuccino.
  • Hotels are a great place to site these units. How many times a day does someone ask at reception for a charger because they left theirs at home. I couldn’t count how many times I’ve done this!
